Chapter 136: I’m Being Slandered, Y’all Got It Wrong
At midnight, Xu Qianxi finally recovered from being roofied in the police station of Jing City.
Xu Qianxi was a well-known artist. Her involvement in this nasty incident has ruined the image of Jing City—the filming location. The cops had to carry on with the interrogation through the night.
Xu Qianxi’s face was still flushed red. She was confused and does not know exactly what was going on. She just sat there looking stupid opposite the two cops—one man and one woman.
Both the cops had stern looks on their faces. Eventually, the lady police officer asked, “Name?”
Xu Qianxi asked dumbly, “Me... Why am I here?”
Her mind was all over the place. Her body was feeling extremely uncomfortable all over her, especially her down there. It was hurting and felt sore.
Meanwhile, she still had no clue what just happened. She could not remember anything and was wondering why the two police officers were staring down at her and why she was handcuffed.
Xu Qianxi tried hard to recall the incident but everything was a complete blur.
Xu Qianxi was not naive. She was able to figure out what had happened to her, judging from the condition of her body. Why, why was she unable to recall anything at all?
She was sexually assaulted. Why was she unable to remember even the slightest bit of it?
The lady police officer slammed on the table. “Name.”
Xu Qianxi was startled. “Xu Qianxi...”
The male police officer took out an identity card and compared it with Xu Qianxi’s face. “Is this yours?”
Xu Qianxi nodded. “Yes... It’s mine!”
The male officer told the lady officer, “Take it down. Her real name is Xu Meifeng.”
Xu Qianxi’s face turned bright red all of a sudden. Her real name is Xu Meifeng but who could have used such a lousy name in the entertainment industry.
Her manager gave her a stage name. Due to her busy work schedule and her home state being really far away, she has not had the chance to change her name on the identity card and the Household Register.
The lady police officer said sharply, “If you are called Xu Meifeng, don’t try to tell us something else. We are police officers, not the media.”
The police officer then continued, “How old are you?”
Xu Qianxi started to panic. “24. Officers can I... can I ask, what... what have I actually done wrong?”
“You don’t know?” the lady officer asked with a sneer in her voice.
Xu Qianxi shook her head. She really had no idea at all.
The lady officer then announced a series of numbers, “137xxxxxxx, is this your phone number?”
Xu Qianxi nodded, “Yes... It’s mine.”
The lady officer held up a call girl card. Xu Qianxi’s phone number was clearly printed on it.
“Then it must be it. You were nabbed for suspicion of being involved in prostitution activities.”
Xu Qianxi went pale. She exclaimed, “Pros... prostitution? No, I would never... never ever do this. I am an artist. How could I do something like that? I am famous. Am I crazy?”
The lady officer gave a half-smile but kept quiet. Everyone knew how messed up the entertainment industry was. Artists that got caught in the Jing City for hiring a hooker, taking drugs and gambling were countless.
The lady officer then said, “It’s not scary to have committed a crime, the scary part is that you don’t repent. You better tell us what was going on and plead guilty to get lower sentences.”
Xu Qianxi tried to pull herself up on her feet but the handcuffs secured to the table stopped her. She went berserk and burst out, “I didn’t do it. How could I admit to something that I have never done before? I don’t know anything. Something must be wrong. You guys must be mistaken.”
