Chapter 222: I’ll Make Sure That There’s No Scar
Su Qianxun received a call from Xia Chuxi. Xia Chuxi’s voice was very icy and laced with hatred. “Su Qianxun, don’t you expect your sugar daddy to be able to protect you! You killed me and Yiren’s baby! I definitely won’t let you off the hook this time. You better head to the police station to surrender yourself, confess your crime, and be prepared to serve your time in jail! Or else, I’ll make sure that you stay in jail for your whole life!”
“Xia Chuxi, you better figure out who killed your child first! I didn’t steal anything or kill anyone. I’m not a criminal. The criminal is Qiao Yiren!” Su Qianxun’s voice was even colder than that of Xia Chuxi’s.
“Yiren is still in the hospital now. She has been crying so much that she’s almost going blind. How dare you still accuse her! Su Qianxun, just wait! I’ll definitely make you pay for it this time!” Xia Chuxi hung up in fury.
Su Qianxun slowly lowered her hand. She flashed a scornful smile. ‘Qiao Yiren is truly wicked indeed. I can’t believe that she actually killed her own flesh and blood just to frame me!”
Outside the police station, Xia Chuxi angrily threw his cell phone at the wall. His chest felt tight, and he was extremely aggrieved. ‘Su Qianxun, even though I gave you so many chances, you’re still as ignorant as ever. This time, don’t blame me again for being cruel towards you!’
.....
As Su Qianxun sat with her cell phone in her hand, someone suddenly took the cell phone away from her. She turned and saw that Long Sijue was standing beside her.
“Aren’t your hands in pain anymore? You’re already able to hold your cell phone!” Long Sijue stared expressionlessly at her, and there was a hint of displeasure in his voice.
“No, I just want to see how the situation is like right now.” Su Qianxun lowered her head meekly and explained.
Long Sijue grabbed her arm, dragged her to the couch and sat her down. He then held her wrist and slowly removed the layers of gauze around her fingers.
“It’s... it’s painful. Can you be a little gentler?” Su Qianxun was so in pain that she almost cried. She looked anxiously at Long Sijue.
Long Sijue furrowed his eyebrows a little and used even less strength. He removed all the gauze around her fingers and revealed her injured hand. All ten of her fingers still looked as gruesome as before.
“Soak your hands first.” Long Sijue rose and prepared the solution.
Long Sijue held a small basin as he walked out of the bathroom. The basin contained water that had been mixed with medicine. He placed the basin on the coffee table and gestured at the young woman to placed her hand inside it.
Su Qianxun was really doubtful that this would help with her hand injury.
However, since the young master had ordered her to do so, she did not dare to disobey him. She had no choice but to insert her hands into the basin.
Long Sijue sat down beside her, extended his hand to clutch her chin and turned her head so that she faced him. He was holding a tube of ointment in his other hand. The man earnestly pressed some of it onto his hand and slowly applied it on her face.
Long Sijue used a little too much force, and it was painful for Su Qianxun. She kept inching backward to dodge his hand.
Long Sijue suddenly raised his gaze and glared at her. This shocked the young woman. She was so nervous that her long eyelashes fluttered, and she longer dared to move. She widened her black eyes and gazed at him.
“Can you be a little gentler?” Su Qianxun said meekly.
“You can feel pain too?” Long Sijue snorted coldly and brutely tightened his grip on her chin. However, he used a lot less force as he continued to apply the ointment.
“Of course I can feel pain. Will this leave a scar?”
The young woman felt even more upset when she thought of the possibility that the wound might leave a scar. She was a woman, after all, and all women cared about their appearance. Moreover, the wound was located on her face, and everyone would be able to see the scar should there be one.
“I’ll make sure that there’s no scar.” Long Sijue answered coldly and continued applying the ointment.
Su Qianxun threw him a quick glance. She then lowered her eyelashes, not daring to look at him anymore. The pain in her hands seemed to have lessened after she soaked them in the medicinal solution for a while. It seemed like he had gotten some of the best medicine around for her.
