Chapter 126 From the Countryside
Yao Tang simply smiled. “Teacher Xi,” she greeted her adviser before walking right out of the classroom.
Even the police officer had to stand down and allow her to leave. After all, there was no reason to hold her here any longer. Everyone watched her leave with disgruntled gazes.
It was already time for afternoon when she had arrived.
When she went upstairs, she saw the students from her batch gazing at her from behind. They were curious to see who had managed to beat up the gang.
The black backpack was slung from her shoulder as she strode down the street. Her aura was very strong that the students couldn’t help but step aside.
A few teachers came down from the conference room to check on their students.
Luo Hua was once of these teachers.
Upon seeing Yao Tang’s retreating figure, he couldn’t help but roll his eyes irritatedly. Not only wasn’t this girl paying attention to her studies, but she even decided to partake in this messy ordeal. This girl truly was a troublemaker!
Why did she even bother coming to school?
She had just made a mess out of all of them!
Yao Tang simply ignored all their gazes. Besides, it’s not like she had anything to do with them.
Her gaze was calm as soon as she arrived in the classroom.
When she entered, the classroom suddenly turned quiet. There were students who once didn’t know a thing about her now looked at her fearfully.
Her name had fluttered around the school like a fly. There wasn’t a single soul who didn’t know about her.
A group of parents came to school to complain about her, yet they let her escape unscathed. How the hell could they not know about her? She was truly a legend!
It’s one against ten-an impressive feat.
The bullies she had beaten down were all sent to jail too.
Lin Xin placed her homework on Yao Tang’s desk. Beside the papers were a lollipop and a carton of sweet milk. “Here you go,” she said sweetly.
“Sister Tang.” Meng Yang looked her up and down. “They didn’t make things difficult for you, did they?”
Even though he had already heard what transpired, he still felt a little worried about her.
After all, those parents were very difficult to deal with. He himself had been in the brunt of their exchanges then.
“I’m fine.”
She grabbed a book from her bag and began to read.
Meng Yang was about to ask more questions when Xi Yansuddenly appeared by the door. Her gaze was boring at Meng Yang as if to ask if he had anything else to ask.
Frozen in his seat, he simply pulled out his textbook and pretended to look at her. However, he couldn’t help but glance at Yao Tang from time to time, curious about what had happened in the conference room.
Just then, a voice was heard from the door.
“Teacher Xi, I’m looking for Qin Jing.” Yao Ran smiled obediently.
Xi Yan nodded. “Qin Jing, come out for a moment.”
Qin Jing was a little surprised when she heard that. Seeing the unfamiliar girl standing by the railings, she decided the follow suit, curious to what it was about.
“I’m Yao Ran from Class 1,” she introduced herself gently. “I believe we met at the Qin Family House then. I heard that your grades were very good and that you’re fond of experimental study. That’s why I wanted to get to know you.”
Qin Jing hesitated. This matter really wasn’t as simple.
Someone from Class 1 only wanted to get to know a student from Class 20?
That was unlikely.
Did she have an ulterior motive?
“Oh?” She crossed her arms over her chest. “Then what’s your relationship with Yao Tang?”
“She’s the daughter of my second uncle from the countryside.”
Her smile twitched.
Her calm voice and soft features would make anyone assume that Yao Ran was simply a lovely girl -kind and angelic. However, Qin Jingknew better.
As soon as Qin Jing heard the word “countryside”, she couldn’t help but be a bit uncomfortable. If this girl really treated Yao Tangas family, why would she talk down on her?
Yao Ran took a deep breath. “I came to look for you to invite you to Class 1!”
“As you already know, Class 1 is not only provided the best teachers but also offered the best opportunities,” she continued brightly. “If you come with me, you’ll definitely be welcomed with open arms.”
Yao Ran gazed at her with seriously. Everyone would have mistaken that for sincerity, but she knew better.
“Class 1?” Qin Jing snorted. “And why the hell would I do that?”
The girl’s face was filled with undisguised disgust.
“Class 1 really couldn’t be compared to Class 20. I’m just concerned about your…choices, that’s all.”
“You shouldn’t be fooled by my sister’s appearance,” Yao Ran warned. “She isn’t easy to get along with. You’d only get into more trouble being associated with her.”
Qin Jing gazed at her expressionlessly.
This person didn’t have the right to address Yao Tang as her sister.
Even if she was the eldest daughter of the Qin family, she had never felt that Yao Tang was any different from her. Whether she was born in the countryside or not wasn’t important. She was a friend. Does her background have any bearing to how she should be treated?
