Chapter 760  : An Attack of Symphonies

Everyone began to panic. Their leader was dead! If they went back like this, the organization would severely punish them for their wrongdoings.

Just the thought of the consequences waiting for them was enough to make them shiver.

If that was the case, then they would rather die than return!

“Everyone! Let’s behead them and offer their heads up in sacrifice! Kill them!”

The deputy leader glared at Yao Tang, shouting with all his might. Even then, he could still feel his legs trembling beneath him. Despite this, he stayed strong.

He was the most important member of the team now. He needed to make sure that they complete this mission.

The men in black didn’t think about anything else. All they thought about was the punishment they were trying to avoid. Their hearts raced in their chests as they attacked even more ruthlessly.

They only had one thing on their mind.

And that’s to avoid their punishment as much as possible.

“Charge!”

“Kill this woman!”

“Everyone, hurry up! We must kill them!”

“Kill these two men first! Let’s see if they can still escape!”

The men in black looked like they’d been possessed by how vicious they were acting. They continued to slash at President Tan, regardless of the wounds they’d already sustained.

Out of desperation, they pulled out the daggers from their pockets and prepared to stab them.

However, before they could even take another step forward, they froze. A sharp pain spread across their heads as if there were needles piercing through their skulls.

“You’ve always wanted to test your defenses against an elder’s mental ability, right? Why don’t I give it a test run?”

The girl’s faint voice echoed around them.

Her words were cold and icy as if she was issuing a death warrant.

Within the next second, a piercing symphony sounded around them. They stopped, furrowing their eyebrows as they all shared a look. What was happening?

Suddenly, the symphony became louder and louder till they could barely hear those around them.

The men in black threw their weapons down in surprise, but the symphony wouldn’t stop.

One by one, they started crouching down—the music all too much for them. One was already clutching his ears. The other was slamming their heads onto the boulder.

They were uncontrollable!

No matter what they did, no matter how much they bled, the music still didn’t stop!

Their brains felt like they were turning into mush.

The more intense the music, the more pain he felt. Different instruments played at the back of his mind, with the most piercing and loudest notes snapping at his eardrums. One of the men groaned. “Make it stop! Make it stop!”

It was like his eardrums was going to burst!

The deputy leader, the strongest one in the group, began clutching his head in pain. He squatted on the ground. Despite his determination to defeat them, he was held hostage by the loud and echoing sounds.

Around him, his men were knocking into trees in insanity.

He didn’t expect this!

They knew that they were going to deal with the newest disciple before they came in. That’s why they have come mentally prepared.

He had installed a shielding device in his car.

The set of devices he had imported came at a really high price. It was stated that this was the only piece of equipment that could shield them from highly experienced attacks like this one.

He had used this to capture Elder Chen. He thought that was enough, but it seemed that their newest disciple was from a different universe!

He couldn’t do anything!

Was the device broken? How was that possible?

How could a disciple surpass the grand elder of the inner sect?

Tan Jian was waving his stick around when he realized something was wrong.

Suddenly, all the men he had been fighting against were rolling on the ground. Even the person calling the order was found squatting and bending over, looking as if he was in pain.

Wasn’t he fighting them earlier?

“What happened to them?”

Tan Jian kicked the man who was closest to him.

The man rolled onto the ground, but he didn’t look like he cared. He was too busy clutching his head and begging for the nonexistent music to stop.

“They’ve been attacked by an Elder’s spiritual power. They don’t have time to care about us.” President Tan slowly looked over, a complicated expression showing on his face.

“So you’ve been hiding this trump card all this time?” Tan Jian gaped. “You really have me worried over nothing!”

“Damn, I’ve always wanted to learn this!” He supported his dad. “Do you think it’s too late to learn now?”
