Chapter 1153

Minhyuk did not simply jump into the enemy camp just to clear the sudden quest given to him.

He was the emperor of the Beyond the Heavens Empire. It was only suitable for his people to listen, follow, and respect his rulings and orders. The emperor must repay this respect with love and care. But that was not the case for Bul’ark.

These were the notifications that Minhyuk heard the moment he entered the scene of the terrible and disastrous massacre.

Minhyuk gritted his teeth. To put it simply, Bul’ark was killing his people and turning them into his power. It was absurd. The man who should have protected his people was the one who was hurting them.

Minhyuk knew more than anybody else that he would be the first to run toward his opponent and go head to head with him if he had the Sword of Aeon and Transcendental’s Armor with him.

Despite the considerable restriction weighing down on him, Minhyuk still decided to fight. But he first had to hide within the crowd and look for an opportunity. He watched as something smaller than a grain of sand slowly drifted off of the bodies of hundreds of thousands of people and got sucked into Bul’ark.

During that process, his level had risen by one.

Hiding amidst the crowd, Minhyuk silently triggered the Overlapping Delight.

The Overlapping Delight, which could show off its power even if he did not eat the meal, was able to help relieve some of the restrictions on Minhyuk. But Minhyuk could only sigh as he looked at the number on the golden die.

The lower the number shown on the golden die, the shorter the duration and the lower the effects of the buff. If the number one appeared, then his buff would only last for one minute.

The black die would strengthen the chosen skill depending on the number that would appear. The lower the number, the weaker the skill. When the number finally came up, Minhyuk was left delighted.

The number four meant that his chosen skill would be three times stronger than before. Of course, this would only be applied on the first use.

The gears in Minhyuk’s head continued to spin.

The power of the black die was extraordinary. Why? Because it could temporarily let even a skill that could no longer grow become stronger.

It was just as Minhyuk expected. As the Absolute Monarch strengthened, its duration increased, as did the number of people it could be applied to.

Still hidden within the crowd, Minhyuk swiftly moved behind Bul’ark. He was standing just right behind the Supreme Army’s knight commanders. Now in position, Minhyuk immediately triggered Absolute Monarch upon the knight commanders.

The men could not understand what was happening. This was because a strong and heavy force suddenly appeared, forcing them down on their knees. The Supreme Army’s knight commanders were strong. But regardless of one’s power, if their heads were cut off, then they would die.

In just three seconds, Minhyuk dealt with the helpless knight commanders while notifications rang in his ears.

When he heard the notifications, Minhyuk thought of one person. The truth was, Minhyuk knew what kind of extraordinary power Gardin had.

Minhyuk clearly remembered the story that Gardin had told him.

Of course, if Minhyuk could fill 100% of the similarity rate of the events and the events written in the story, something special would happen.

But before everything else, he had to deal with the matter. Bul’ark was now staring at Minhyuk, who had cut off the heads of the knight commanders.

Surprise was evident on the face of the cruel king when he realized that his knight commanders had died just like that. However, anger was also boiling within him. He had seen Minhyuk’s face before. He was none other than the f*cking bastard who chose from the Supreme Jar and ate it.

“BASTAAAAAARD!!!”

At this moment, Bul’ark was convinced Minhyuk was also the same person who took Army Revolutionary Bharal out of the Prison of Repetition. Everything Bharal had planned, from the Supreme Jar to the Prison of Repetition, had gone awry because of this man.

The people were in disbelief after witnessing the strange confrontation between the two. The unknown man, who killed the knight commanders in a flash, stood there against Bul’ark, the absolute being and the symbol of despair in Pandemonium’s Country.

Bul’ark said, “Do you even know who I am?! I am the king of this country…”

“Kneel first.”

The eyes of everyone present grew wide. In just an instant, Minhyuk forced Bul’ark on his knees, leaving the cruel king flustered and embarrassed.

He only had one minute or so of time with buffs, and only thirty seconds were left. And he could only suppress Bul’ark for four seconds. Minhyuk immediately stabbed the kneeling Bul’ark with the Frenzied Blade in the chest.

“Keuaaaaaack!”

At the same time.

“Heavenly Sword.”

Swords fell from the sky and rained down on the Supreme Army that rushed to save Bul’ark. Even though he had seen the soldiers of the Supreme Army pouring out of the castle gates from behind, Minhyuk still did not back down. The Heavenly Sword cut down the Supreme Army before soaring back to the skies again.

Immediately after that, Minhyuk used an Intangible Sword and restrained the enemies charging behind him.

His sword, carrying the symbol of Destruction, hit Bul’ark swiftly.

“Overpower.”

But at that moment, the Overpower’s stunned state was lifted right after the Absolute Monarch’s stunned state ended. A strong force erupted Bul’ark, who was forced to kneel by an absolute and overwhelming power.

This force was the power that he had taken away from his people, who he had killed willingly. He raised his fist and punched Minhyuk.

That was just Bul’ark’s basic attack, yet it made Minhyuk’s HP drop by an entire 2%.

Of course, one of the main reasons was Bul’ark’s high level. But the biggest problem was Minhyuk’s legendary-rank armor set.

Before equipping the Transcendental’s Armor, Minhyuk had an Absolute Demigod-rank armor, the Slaughterer’s Armor. Although the Absolute Demigod-rank armor was worse than the Transcendental’s Armor, it could still be said to be the best out of all the other armor. But the Slaughterer’s Armor was transformed into the Transcendental’s Armor. And because he did not have it on and only had an armor that could only exert half the usual effects that he was used to, he suffered much damage.

Minhyuk hurriedly evaded Bul’ark’s attack, his hands twisting as he slashed his flanks.

“I can withstand it better than I thought.”

“...!”

Minhyuk’s expression grew ugly. He could fight toe-to-toe with opponents beyond Level 800, primarily thanks to the Sword of Aeon. After all, the Sword of Aeon was 1.5x stronger than the swords of most of the high-rankers. Minhyuk couldn't leave a critical and even fatal injury to Bul’ark with just the Continent Destroyer Sword.

Minhyuk also realized something after he had witnessed Bul’ark use his fists. His opponent’s entire body was like a weapon. Looking at Bul’ark as a close combat fighter might even be more apt.

Fighters’ unique characteristics were their well-trained, to the point of being dramatic, bodies. Their HP would be very high since they have trained their bodies to the limit. Also, their defensive power would be at least 1.3x higher than the defensive power of swordsmen.

But the surprise did not end there. Bul’ark stretched his hand toward the cold and dead bodies of the knight commanders. Despite their heads and bodies being separated, the power that was still within their bodies was quickly sucked into Bul’ark’s outstretched hands.

His level increased by nine in just one go.

Even Minhyuk did not expect that he would suck up the power of the dead.

“Soaring Dragon.”

Bul’ark’s muscles bulged significantly as he soared to the skies. He was as tall as Minhyuk, but when his muscles bulged, he looked much bigger and more intimidating. And his fist…

The moment his punch landed on Minhyuk’s abdomen, the legendary armor set, Vaghanania’s Breath, cracked.

One glance showed that Bul’ark’s fist carried a powerful armor break. The worst part? He moved very fast. His punches landed all over Minhyuk’s body.

Minhyuk’s HP dropped rapidly. If it were the usual Minhyuk, his HP would not have fallen below 70% so quickly like this. He would have restored most of his HP by absorbing his opponent’s HP through Slaughterer’s Absorption.

After being beaten up, Minhyuk became aware of his current reality.

Such thoughts began to fill his head and drag him down. This left him with a sense of helplessness that slowly started to devour him.

Meanwhile, Bul’ark continued to hit Minhyuk’s body like a madman after he landed on the ground again.

“A temporary revolutionary? You should see the reality for yourself.”

Bul’ark devoured the power of the Supreme Army troops that Minhyuk had killed earlier. The more he sucked, the more powerful he became.

In just an instant, Bul’ark’s level went over Level 900. If he devoured all the people present, he would easily be able to go over Level 1,000. He purposely increased his strength and charged toward the disheveled and distraught Minhyuk.

Bul’ark attacked non-stop and eventually punched through the gap in Minhyuk’s armor. He then pulled his hand away.

With his armor breaking, the speed at which Minhyuk’s HP dropped increased even further. Right now, Minhyuk was being pressed down by an overwhelming sense of helplessness. As he got hit in the face and forced to spit out blood, he realized more than anybody else that using his skills would be of no use. He would not be able to leave damage to the strengthened Bul’ark.

This was the reality.

But without his real sword and armor, he was left helpless and useless.

Just like everyone else said, he was many things.

It occurred to Minhyuk that perhaps he was indeed nothing but that.

Minhyuk, who was reflecting on his useless self and was just being thrown around without resisting, suddenly opened his eyes wide. He finally blocked Bul’ark’s fist, which was aiming for the top of his head.

“Ugh. What a freaking blockhead…”

Then, he realized.

That was right. It did not matter how much stronger Minhyuk had grown in this place; in the end, he would never be able to surpass the NPCs in terms of growth. In the first place, he was completely different from these people who had been born into this world.

Then, at that moment…

In just a flash, bright and glittering armor appeared near Minhyuk’s body. The armor was its usual silver color, but after the change, it now held a dash of black. This dash of black was perfectly and harmoniously added to the silver, making the already cool armor look even more dashing and majestic.

With the armor near Minhyuk, it swiftly stuck and attached itself to Minhyuk’s body. At the same time, a series of notifications rang in his ears.

“Silver Dragon Armor.”

Unlike before, an entirely silver armor covered Minhyuk’s entire body. When Minhyuk opened his hand, the Sword of Aeon naturally and landed on his palm.

At that moment, Bul’ark’s fist landed on Minhyuk’s chest again.

But this time, the opponent was not pushed back. The Greatest Armor’s defensive power was so high that it reflected the shock from the punch that landed on it back to its owner.

“Urk!” Blood dripped down Bul’ark’s mouth.

A very shocking effect was added to the armor.

With the most outstanding sword in the world in his hand, Minhyuk smiled faintly. Then, he swung his sword with all his might.

“You f*cking bastard, your attack is…!” Bul’ark mocked.

But at that moment, Bul’ark faintly realized that there was a distinct difference from the damage that Minhyuk had inflicted earlier to this one.

“Keuhaaack?!”

The deep cut made him stagger on his feet.

Minhyuk laughed.

He finally realized it.
